Housing Resource

We know that housing emergencies can happen at any time, and that tenants in need often require immediate assistance in order to stay housed. With that in mind, please consult the following resources for assistance.
Rentervention is a program designed by the Lawyers' Committee for Better Rights that automates access to basic housing rights information, including issues with illegal lockouts, getting a security deposit returned, and more. It can help tenants generate legal documents, and can even connect renters with legal aid attorneys. You can access Rentervention via text message at 866-7RENTER  (866-773-6837), or by going to rentervention.com/
Lawyers' Committee for Better Housing Intake Hotline allows tenants in need of legal representation to seek assistance. LCBH aims to serve as many low-income tenants as possible, both in eviction court, and in meeting other housing needs. LCBH hotline is available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm at (312) 347-7600
Metropolitan Tenants Organization hotline: (773) 292-4988 (available M-F 1 pm-5 pm)
